Any way to copy watch history to another server on another drive so i can resume series?

I am not sure what section to post this. Please move post accordingly. Thanks.

This may seem odd. I was using linux mint 17.3 but i installed the latest linux mint 18.1 on to another drive and will be removing linux from the other drive. When i setup plex on the new drive. I do not have watch history any more so i don’t know where i left off in a series. I set it up to share the same folders for my media. Is there any way to copy my watch history over from the other server on the other linux drive so i know where i left off in a series?

So you have done new installation and set up server from beginning? Do you have still database from mint 17.3 installation?

Yes i still have the old database as i havnt yet deleted it. Have to transfer all my stuff to my other drive still.

I am on linux and i guess if i copy the database over it will work or do i have to modify it first? That am i am not sure where it is located and what i have to copy over.

  2. You could also try to copy all the Plex data (this takes much, much longer)

  3. Or you can just copy the single database file com.plexapp.plugins.library.db

For methods 1 and 3, you must replicate your library and agent configuration.
This may be impossible if you regularly used ‘Fix incorrect Match’ and picked a metadata agent on a case-by-case basis. Then only method 2) will work satisfactorily.
If your media storage is now under a different folder or network address, you also have to edit the database to reflect the new address(es): https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/1080551/#Comment_1080551
