Any way to troubleshoot failed recordings?

Trying to record the Today show for my wife. 5 of 7 days it’s 100% good. The other days it records about :40 seconds - always at the end of the recording window (so the last 40 seconds of the show / first 40 seconds of the next show).

It always fails once or twice a week, always in the same way (40 seconds of Megan Kelley…yeeesh).

Is there ANY way to trouble shoot it? HD Homerun Extend on Win10, great signal strength (in Brooklyn getting NYC OTA signals loud and clear).

Shouldn’t there be a log somewhere that tells me what’s happening?

How can NO ONE from the company respond to this? No one reddit knows the answer, no one in this community knows the answer.

How can the answer possibly be “We made a product that mostly works but not always. Sorry, we don’t know why or have any guidance figuring it out”

Really, guys? I’m a huge fan and early adopter. But this isn’t cool.
