I use Plex on my TiVo, and ever since the last update I keep getting playback errors saying the Transcoder failed. Anyone else having the same issue?
Same having this issue, on chrome, chromecast and the developer app for my telstra tv
So a Plex update screwed up something? That’s pretty much the rule of law here. Plex is constantly ‘fixing’ things that aren’t broken with their stupid updates.
Me too.
Since an update one or 2 back I can hardly have a single transcode running.
In fact once I was able to run 7 transcode concurrently now barely one.
CPU Utilization maxes out and hovers between 70 to 100 % for a single transcode and THAT is with Plex reporting HW transcoding.
Many other bizarre things are happening now as well. far to many to write here or I would be writing a book.
Any thoughts or similar issues would be great and hopefully a Plex type will chime in.
I have the same problem. I can only watch direct play videos. Any transcoding fails after a few minutes with the popup error on the tv.
On Stream or Sync?
I’ve been running into the “Conversion Failed. The transcoder exited due to an error.” message a lot the past day or two. Making the program unusable.
Does anyone know what format Plex wants files to be in to NOT transcode? If. I knew that, I’d put the files in that format to play.
