I’m running into instances where TV shows are not being scheduled to record. I believe it is because the content provider has not accurately published their schedule. WFYI in Indianapolis (PBS) “This Old House” show does not list all episodes for recording in Plex DVR even though their website schedule lists those missing episodes. (There are no conflicts with other shows on the schedule and my server has four tuners, nor do the episodes ever appear on the Plex recording schedule).
I’d like to always record that time slot, and others like it, even if the channel does not run the expected episode. So it would be nice to schedule a recording the old fashioned way.
Perhaps the user could click a “+” to schedule a recording then select the channel, date, time and duration from a drop downs. Then type in the Show name so Plex knows where to place the show once recorded. Plex could then use the show name as entered plus the start time and date as the show’s title (like they do with NFL games).
