I assume you run this on Unraid 6.11 RC4 or did you update any drivers manually to get this working?
How are you generating the GPU stats?
This is an Unraid addon: [PLUGIN] GPU Statistics - Plugin Support - Unraid
Cool. Does anyone know how to do this on a stock Ubuntu install? I’d be curious to see how my nuc does.
I’m running the final release of Unraid 6.11 which came out a few days ago.
Nevermind, found a good one. intel_gpu_top seems to work just fine. Two different videos doing HW transcoding 4K to 1080P.
And I’m not sure why one ran up VideoEhnahce/0. I haven’t been able to replicate that again even on the same video plays.
I guess you don’t need it now, but happy to offer my i7 11PAH for anything if needed?
Hi,
It still doesn’t work for me on the latest version. It works on the 1.28.0.5999-97678ded3
OS: Ubunut 22.04
Intel Comet Lake - i3-10100
Plex inside Docker
For anyone wondering 1.29.1.6241 works great! If you’re having issues give this one a try.
…1.29.1.6260 also works just fine… not sure what happened to 6241 lol
???
Looks like they wanted to HotFix something while they had their hands on it
PMS on CometLake works fine using the native package.
If you’ve been using Docker for the hardware support , it’s no longer needed.
I’m upgrading our lab NUC right now so can’t test Ubuntu 22.04.1->Docker->PMS but will in a little while.
If 128.0 works then all 1.29.1 brings you is native Intel Compute Runtime installation (which are preloaded in the docker image)
NUC11TNBv5 11th Gen Intel® Core i5-1145G7
1.29.1.6260 in Docker on Unraid 6.11.0. ( official plexinc/pms-docker:plexpass)
Transcoding and colormapping working like a charm now.
Got Intel GPU TOP installed. Not sure if its needed or important to point out.
Thank you so much!
what repo do you use?
official plexinc/pms-docker:plexpass
I have “Intel GPU TOP” installed. Not sure if it is needed.
Hi,
Indeed it is working in docker with 1.29.1. Thank you !
It was working on 1.29.1 for me, but now it’s broken again on latest. I tried going back to the next listed tag ( 1.29.1.6313-f4cdfea9c, but that doesn’t work either. There are no other listed 1.29.1 tags.
Can we keep this fixed somehow?
So with the latest Plex version, do we still need to manually install those Intel compute libraries for HW transcoding to work? The installer does not complain about them anymore (if not installed) so I thought the working version of the libraries are always incorporated in the latest Plex software already?
I’m on a 12th Gen Intel with Ubuntu 22.04 in a Plex LXC container. Hardware transcoding works just dandy. HDR tone mapping is broken with: Failed to get number of OpenCL platforms: -1001.
Running the latest everything…Proxmox Kernel 6.2.9-1, Plex server 1.32.0.6950, and latest Intel GPU drivers in the LXC.
Is this supposed to work or did I miss something?
