I am currently using an Intel arc based GPU for Plex transcoding which works great but i am about to switch to Nvidia because i also want to be able to use the GPU for machine learning processes (whisper, n8n etc).
Does anyone here have experience transcoding on plex with a 5060 TI or simlilar?
How many transcoding streams can you handle and how good is the end result?
I’m running fedora 43 with a nvidia 5070 gpu and have zero problems with transcoding. GPU is generally under 10% usage when plex is transcoding and pulling approx 30w of power. Beyond that not sure what else to say.
