Anything Required to Enable Gapless on Desktop?

From searching prior posts it appears nothing is required to enable gapless playback on Plexamp for Windows? I’m not getting this to work–any suggestions? Cache is enabled and at 512mb, sweet fades (i know it’s not the same) is on.

Thanks

Can you compare with Plexamp on Android mobile or iOS?

Or is this a newly set up server? If so, it simply might not have analysed your library to detect the loudness levels at the beginning and end of each track.

It’s a brand new server. Per your suggestion, I will let it do its thing and see if this fixes it. Do I need to enable sonic analysis or any other features for this to take place or is it just automatic when scanning the library?
Thanks!

My recommendation is to leave sonic analysis disabled for now. You can enable it when loudness analysis has been completed.

But you need Loudness Analysis, so go to
Settings - Server - Library
and set Loudness Analysis to “as a scheduled task”.

Then make sure that your server is actually switched on during the scheduled maintenance hours, defined in
Settings - Server - Scheduled Tasks

gapless doesn’t require any analysis, and is the default for albums played from start to finish.

So if I start on track 5 and want it to fade into track 6 rather than track 1 it will or won’t be gapless?

Pretty sure it’s only continuous full albums, but check your logs and see if you see something like PlayQueue: This isn't a consecutive album because we jumped into the middle of an album
