I have some movies with the genre Sc-Fi and others with Science Fiction. Is there a way to change them so they are all the same ? Do I assume correctly that this info is obtained from the metadata ?

and you’re free to overwrite the Genre!
- Use Plex Web (e.g. https://app.plex.tv/ or https://your-pms-ip-address:32400/web)
- navigate to the applicable video
- click the
button (Edit) - switch to
Tagstab and apply theGenreaccording to your preferences
pro-tip… to avoid checking every single video for genre names you don’t like, you can use a filter.
filter by the genre name you want to change and edit only those videos (optionally you should even be able to mass-edit the items when filtered!
