Bulk Metadata Editing

I would really love to be able to clean up the genres in my collection by selecting an already existing genre, and then changing all files to different genre. If you could just select multiple files on a filtered screen and then edit the metadata that would be excellent.

Yes!

Please, this seems like such a simple function that should be added. (I am not a programmer, but I understand that a "simple" function is not necessarily simple to implement).  You should be able to filter movies or multi-select at random and then edit the metadata for the entire group.

+1,

metadata usually handle genre in a inefficient way when it comes to using them as filter set. Instead of tagging a film with both Action and Adventure, most metadata will tag the film with something like "Action-Adventure" which is a problem for couple of reasons. I want to be able to fix this but having to go through hundreds of films one by one is simply not a solution.

+1

Not only metadata, but with the advent of Plex Home this is a must for Sharing labels.  There is no way in Hell, I'm going to spend a day individually editing each of the 492 videos in the Kid's section of my collection to add "Family Friendly" tags so I can actually implement granular content filtering for them.

this is a must for Sharing labels.
