Is it possible to bulk change the Genre Name in the Plex tags without creating a new tag and opening each item to change?
Example: if I have 400+ movies with the Genre Name added manually through the Plex web interface that uses the Genre Name “Alien” can I bulk change all of those by changing Alien to “Sci-Fi”.
Can’t you just go to categories pick Alien, and select all 400+ movies (select fist and shift select the last), and hit edit and delete the Alien tag and replace it with Sci-Fi?
Ahhh. I had the grid view so after reading your answer and then looking around for a list view I see that it is possible to do what you recommend. I tried it for 10 titles and it worked. Thank you.
Tip: For anyone else reading this, if you select the first title then use the browser window scroll bar on the very right to reach bottom of the list before using shift select it only grabs the top and bottom titles like you get with Ctrl select. I had to select the first title then scroll down over the list using my mouse wheel before using shift select for it to get all of them.
