I have to keep the remote in my hand while watching. I’m constantly increasing or decreasing the volume during a movie, or tv show. Is there some utility that would normalize the audio so the volume is more consistent?
If you use the Plex Media Player you can activate a hidden feature by rewriting a special keyboard or remote control command.
I’m using the Roku player. Does this mean I have no solution?
If your audio is routed through an AV receiver then you might have a solution. My Denon receiver has a feature called Dynamic Volume that normalizes volume. It’s actually a part of the Audyssey features on the receiver so I would guess many other receivers have this as well since many also implement Audyssey.
I have an older Yamaha HTR-6150. Unfortunately it doesn’t have this feature.
