Optional Audio Normalization on Roku

I would like an option when playing back a movie through my Roku to have the audio normalized.  I have quite a few movies that sound great downstairs with the whole multiple speaker setup, but when I want to watch them in bed (with just the TV's speakers) I have to always have my hand on the volume remote because the dialog is so soft and the explosions so loud.  

 

Ideally, since I'm doing this through the Roku, I'd like the option to be under Playback Options in the details of a particular movie.

This drives me nuts as well. I think the techinical term for what you are looking for is Dynamic Range Compression. I would love for this to be supported on a server level so all clients can make use of it.

yes please - also volumes should be normalised - I only notice the different volumes of files on the roku.
