For some reason when I got to plex.tv/api/resources to get a list of client it is only showing a few clients and not a full list. Also my smart tv app never shows up in that list. Anyone have any idea why clients wouldn’t show up there.
That doesn’t list everything. Only clients that have connected recently.
To see all your devices you should look at your authorized devices list in Plex Web. If you need the related API, you should be able to find it that way.
So I tested this by installing the smart tv app and connecting for the first time via that. It still doesn’t show up in the list. Meanwhile things like “plex for web last seen 4 days ago” do show up. But if i can get a list of clients via a devices api that might be preferred anyway. Is that documented anywhere?
All devices should show up. Maybe you need to refresh the page. There is no documentation on the API’s. People mostly use the dev console to identify the API’s used by Web.
