Apollo Lake HW Transcoding from HEVC with resize color corruption

I have color distortion on HEVC media files if i HW transcode to a different video resolution. This is a already known issue.

I tried to apply the fix by jaB00M however this doesn’t seem to work anymore. If i try it, the HW transcode simply reverts to software transcode (which doesn’t work well with this CPU).

Further it looks like no one is working on fixing the underlying intel linux driver issue.

Has anyone found a solution with the current Plex Media Server and the new transcode engine?

There is work being done to get around what Intel isn’t doing.

I don’t know when it’ll be out but I know it’s coming.
I don’t have all the details so can’t be more specific (wish I could)

I am really looking forward to a possible workaround by Plex considering that the fix by @jaB00M doesn’t work anymore!

I managed to take a poke around with the 1.18 transcoder and made an update to the wrapper script. Color corruption on resize when HW Transcoding HEVC content - Synology DS918+ NAS
