App bug: When I change libraries in android app. The library doesn't change and reverts back to original

Hi all,

Since the last update of the plex server. or app (dont know). The android app has an annoying bug.
For instance, when my library is on A and I want to change it to B it changes in the title above etc. but it only shows library A. This is often fixed when I go to library C and back to library B (but not always).

Another example: library series and switch to movies. Would still show series.

Does anyone else have this problem? (I have the lateste versions PMS and Android PLEX app).

Any suggestions how I can fix this?

When I use the Plex Web everything works fine on multiple computers. This only happens on multiple android devices. Galaxy S8 S7 and Nokia 7 plus. Tested on iphones there the apps works fine.

Addition:

I;ve noticed that when I’ve switched libraries and it shows that it has switchted from A to B. It is still possible that It will change back to A when I press collections or labry within the library.

Yesterday installed updates for PMS (latest version) and reinstalled app.
The problem persists.

Addition:
It would appear that the glitch is in the buttons below (library, collections, recommend, pla). If I preselect for instance collections in all libraries. Then I can change libraries a/b/c/d etc without a problem. However the moment I press, for instance, recommendations or playlist. The selection changes to the wrong one. Like the problem described above.

Addition:
It would appear that PLEX is having a hardtime distinquition between Libraries within Categories. SO (for example): 2 Libraries within MOVIES (or series what have you) (with that I mean libraries made with MOVIEs as a basis) 1 animated and 1 horror. If you select 1 or the other it will not alwys choose the right one. Often it will choose the one above. Only when You switch form categories (tv or movies) will it reconcider how to grap the right librarie. Like above this is a recent bug in the android. APPLE or PC no such problem

i’m having the same problem, have tried with several different android phones and the problem still persists. This makes it really difficult to switch from my series library to my movies library on my phone as it just retains the last selection and i am unable to browse the full library.

Seeing the same problem. Very frustrating, any ideas how to resolve?

This is server problem, not client. I reinstalled new version Plex app many times at playstore. But same. Please fix it Plex team!

I think you’re right. Did the same reinstalled everything it didn’t work.

This problem is only present in android app. Not in apple or in normal pc browser.

Same problem with 8.10.0.21911. Workaround is to restart the app by dismissing it or force stopping. Doesn’t happen all the time when switching apps, just sometimes.

If you read this, I wish to inform you that I’ve installed all the latest PMS updates and APP updates.
The problem still persists.

Thank you! Force closing the app seemed to have worked on my phone. On my Android TV it fixes itself after crashing for some reason.

THATS A WIN!!! now we’ll have to wait.

Same problem here too. I’ve tried with different smartphones (all Android), and it is the same everywhere. I didn’t happen before I updated PMS to newest version 3 days ago.

Seriously, a completely app breaking bug, and we are on 2 months of this? What service lets their app be useless for 2 months, oh yeah, Plex … buy a Plex Pass so we can ignore you for money. I wonder what Kodi is like.
