App crashing while playing in Picture-in-Picture mode on iPad

I put the Player Version as 8.7.1, though this began happening since the version 8.7 update. The issue is as the title says, the Plex app crashes, seemingly at random, while watching videos in Picture-in-Picture mode on my 11-inch iPad Pro 2020, which is currently on iOS 15.6. It happens frequently, but it is not something I can reproduce at will, it just seems to happen randomly. Sorry if this has been posted already, I did a search but did not find anything relating to this.

Still experiencing this after the 8.7.2 update.

Me too. Latest server and iOS version. But it’s not crashing, it’s just closing PIP after about 1 minute

Todays update fix close pip after 1 min and hot iPhone for me. Thank you

I don’t want to jinx it, but so far no crash with this update as well.
