App.plex.tv is unable to connect to “SHIELD Android TV” securely

Hi, I am getting the message "App.plex.tv is unable to connect to “SHIELD Android TV” on the Plex Web App. Would it be possible to reset my server certificate? I am running Shield version 9.1.1

Many thanks

I too am getting the same issue above. @ahf34 did you manage to resolve your issue?

Same problem for me to, can anyone help?

Nope, still not resolved unfortunately. I’ve uninstalling Plex Media Player and re-installing but the problem remains.

I’ve been able to find a alternative solution, which has worked for me. This is temporary for us anyway as we won’t be at this location with the current ISP and their locked-down Modem/Router.

You can login and setup the Shield via (IP Address of Shield):32400

I’ve sadly had to rebuild my whole Plex library. My setup is using a NAS for storage or all videos.

Maybe you don’t have to rebuild your whole library. But just re-installed everything and started fresh just to be safe.

Hope this helps!

@BigWheel please help these folks. You assisted me once with certificate reset. (I think)

@ahf34 I don’t see anything wrong with your cert. Can you access it via http://ShieldIP:32400/web on the local network. replacing ShieldIP with it’s actual local IP. ( you might need to use https)

@bhavneshpatel893 It looks like you have two shields. is this correct? Possibly it s connecting to wrong one from an old install. Do you see them both listed here https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/devices/pms

@egc128 I don’t see any server on your account at all. Did you remove them from your account at https://app.plex.tv/desktop/#!/settings/devices/pms ? Can you access it via local ip?

Port forwarding in router will not matter since it would be local.

When you launch the player app does the server show as running in settings?
