I got a similar error, and I found that the internal certificate used by Plex Server was expired. To get I new one I restart the Plex Server and after a couple of minutes the certificate was renew automatically by the Plex Server.
Which server please? I see 3
May I have the SERVER logs.
I can reset the certificate but it will still require you to restart PMS (Synology Desktop access). Do you have that access ?
I am not sure where I can find the server logs?
I have tried to restart PMS (by stopping and restarting it in the package center in Synology DSM) but still doesn’t work.
Since I am travelling I am accessing the Synology NAS through Quickconnect.
Thanks!
I have tried to restart (by stopping and re-starting PMS in Synology Package Center) but still doesn’t work…
Reboot the server now please. I’ve reset the certificate.
It’ll get a fresh one.
Thanks, I have rebooted.
It still says “app.plex.tv is unable to connect to…”
Have now also tried to uninstall and re-install the PMS on the NAS…
It is kind of irritating when THE core service doesn’t work of a product.
Have no use of Plex if not able to connect and will cancel my subscription.
I will not be anywhere close to the NAS server for another month (due to travel) so will not be able to do this “locally”.
I am not able to follow the instructions on setting up a SSH tunnel. Think it might be a bit to advanced for me.
Some simpler way of doing this remotely would have been great.
The only reason I have Plex is to be able to use it when travelling and I will not be in anywhere close to the NAS for a month…
it kind of defeats the purpose if Plex stops working while you travel…
Agree that it is a lousy product. But you didn’t really explain it. You sent a link to a really lousy explanation on how to setup a SSH.
Can you please assist me with this? My server is now stating that it is inaccessible:
“:app.plex.tv is unable to connect to “PLEX HP” securely”
I was using it last night…
