Can anyone help, I'm at the end of my patience.

 

Neither program will recognise my Apple TV when plugged in.  Tried different ports, have restored the Apple TV to factory settings, have powered on before plugging in the USB. What else can I try?

The above problem has been fixed... however more problems (read below) have surfaced.

what are you trying to do?  Is this for PlexConnect?

Hi mate, yes. I have PMS installed no problems but I can't put a profile on my AppleTV as it won't recognise the device.

I like to think I'm pretty savvy (ex-Apple Genius) and have looked at most things before posting here.

ok, moving this to the right forum, and pretty sure you can now pass the certs over the network and no longer need usb

Hi Baa.

I have the profile installed now, I created it via the instructions here: http://langui.sh/2013/08/27/appletv-ssl-plexconnect/

I also have Plex Media Player installed on my Mac and it sees and runs PMS fine and plays media (for the most part) so I know the server is running.

I ran PlexConnect.py using sudo and Terminal, however in Trailers app, Plex Connect says 'No response from Plex Media Server'

I am stuck here..

I think you will have to provide the info requested in the Read Before Posting thread at the top of this forum. We need more data to help with troubleshooting.

I've got it sorted... it's now showing the channels..

Now to add my own media and test that. Thanks for the moment guys.

I'm sure you'll be hearing from me soon with more requests! :)
