Im trying to add Plex to my Apple TV 3 that I just recently bought.
I'm getting some sort of problem where I did the DNS addition on my router and once I manually change the DNS on the apple tv that corresponds with the IP that Im getting from the Plex CMD. Whenever I open up the trailers on my apple tv it will just give me a notice that "Trailers in unavialble, Please try again". Everything seems to be right in the steps. Ive been trying to figure it out and I seem like Im very close, just once the trailers open up I should be able to have access to all of the Plex Movies / Shows. If anyone can please assist me that would be great

Your thumbnails are too small for me to actually read (old man eyes)... but you mentioned 'I did the DNS addition on my router' - your ATV DNS setting should be pointing to the address of your PC running Plex Connect. You don't need to make any changes to your router. Perhaps there is an issue here?
On my router I created a DHCP reservation , should I remove it?
DHCP reservation is fine. You attachments not. :-)
Please attach the log-FILE , as found in "Read before Posting".
Two thoughts for now:
- Certificate
- Firewall

that looks like you try to start Plexconnect twice ?
Did you install the certificate correctly on your AppleTV ?
I would think so. Can you briefly lay out the certificate for the apple tv? Thanks

What exactly is your question regarding the certificates?
I think I may of messed up on the certificate for the Apple TV, because I generated the .cer from the CMD. Let me have a retry at getting the certifcated through the Iphone Configuration Utility
After redoing the whole procedure of installations. The same thing happens where Trailers in unavailable. Here is a updated log file and what the CMD is showing.

The log does not show any evidence of...
- your aTV trying to access PlexConnect's DNS.
- you actually hitting the trailers' app.
Everything else looks fine. :-D
Im at a stage where I have no idea where I went wrong. Any other suggestions?
In your original post your command window screen shots showed activity from the ATV, the latest log does not show that. As Baa asked did you actually go to trailers before grabbing the log?
Check you profile is on the ATV (Settings > General > Send Data to apple (press play not select) does it show trailers.apple.com?
The more information you can post the easier it is to help.
Yes, my certificate shows up when I check under Send Data to Apple. I named it Plex and its status is iPCU CA and the payload is a certificate.

Any ideas on a fix? Been trying day and night to fix this :(
I suggest you start over. And if you have an issue post all the information in the template as per the how to report an issue section of the pinned “read before posting”…
At the moment getting information out of you has been like pulling teeth, of you give it all upfront maybe it will help us help you.
which method did you use to create the cer file?
I think that if you could post what this thread recommends you post along with your problem all can have a better crack at it.
