I feel like they blow it off thinking itās our TVS. But⦠how is it our TVs if the only app presenting the issue is theirs?
Is this issue being ignored or what?
There seems to be no movement on the Plex side and responses are basically āuh? not our problem even tough we are the only app that has this problem and even the grossly incompetent Paramount+ can gt this right.ā This has been an issue since the new player was added and it has not gotten better since then. The only āsolutionā is to disable the new player and then it happens less, but still happens.
For me, the problem seems worse, as I find the current versions of Plex client on AppleTV is nonfunctional for UHD material. If I donāt use the old player, the lipsync is off. But if I do - and this is recent for me - it transcodes, recoding HEVC to H264⦠and thatās unwatchable.
At least Infuse works.
weāre still here waiting! ![]()
Bump!!!
Same issue here, have mainly switched to Infuse to play files from Plex serve on ATV as I find the ongoing audio sync to my HomePods so laggy.
Bump.
Bump!!!
Any news on this?
Nothing happeningā¦
Only solution I have for now is to disable Direct Play.
With direct streaming, Audio seems to be ok-ish.
Furthermore, stuttering also disappear for some mkv HEVC files.
Hey,
where did you disabtle this?
Thanks
In the app settings ā Allow Direct Play ā uncheck
Thanks!
Didnt help at all ![]()
Even bought 2 different HDMI cablesā¦doenst work.
In my case, this does not work.
Hi Plex team, please any update on this? Iām starting to think thereās a conspiracy to ignore this issue ![]()
at this point with the amount of money they are apparently getting to do ā ā ā ā none of their core audience wants, just buy infuse or license it or something. laziness at this point is the reason i still have a plex server running over emby/jellyfin because all my main devices are apple based and infuse is GOAT.
What really bothers me is the fact that in November 2021 we had the positive feedback from @DaveBinM that he could reproduce the issue.
Since then, why hasnāt the team been able to solve the issue is a big mystery. Really disappointing not having already a solution for the problem, and times more disappointing not having any kind of feedback.
