I have started to get constant buffering on certain mp4 1080p files on the Apple TV 4k. Both the server and the ATV are on LAN connections and bandwidth is not an issue.
The same MP4 plays fine on the web browser or via my iPhone 7. It is only the Apple TV player that seems to have the issue. It appears to be something specific in the container because if I turn off direct play and allow direct stream it works fine.
Likewise, if I extract the H.264 and place it into a new MP4 container it works fine (no change to bit rate or encoding)
