NAS intel core ultra 5 245k, 32GB RAM, nvme drives.
Problem: once you hit play, it takes a long time to start playing. There is no dashboard activity for about 20 seconds, that feel like a minute. Playback is smooth, but takes takes a similar amount of time if forward to another part of the film.
Only affects Plex App on Apple TV.
Plex on my mac, iphone and iipad is lightning fast.
Infuse App is lightning fast on apple TV.
Direct Play / No transcoding - for both Plex Client and Infuse. Yet Infuse is as responsive as my other devices.
The problem started suddenly. It used to work perfect. Not sure if I changed a setting or it was a recent update.
Solution I’ve tried: Tried switching to Old Player, and to Auto Adjust. The app becomes responsive again, quick loads, but now CPU/GPU is transcoding heavily. This did not used to happen. Infuse handles this without transcoding.
I really like Plex. Help me fix this issue with Apple TV 4K. Thanks so much!
