Hi,
I’ve got a new Apple TV 4k and installed there also the Plex app.
And first, it’s looking really great. So thanks for this.
After using it for some days I found out, that there are some bugs and hopefully the developers can fix them.
The screenshots are in German, but most of them are language independent.
First, long movie titles are overlapping the poster:
Second, if you’re doing some minutes nothing in the menu, Apples screensaver starts.
After pressing now any key, the font color is a different one as it was before (really hard to read now). You can compare it with the screenshot above.
Ok, next: When I have the movies assigned to a collection, they is shown below the movie. Great! But when I scroll down to one of the movies in the collection, I can’t read the year below the title. It’s cut off, because it’s not scrolling enough down.
When I go now down to the bottom, I can see the actors. But those faces aren’t looking great.
In the Plex WebUI it’s shown correctly:
Also in the player when you pause and fast forward no thumbnails are shown. Just a black box. Thumbnails are generated and correctly shown in the WebUI:
If a Plex developer is reading this and wants some more informations or needs anything else, please let me know.
To all others: Are this issues that appear only on the 4k edition? Is this only since tvOS 11 is new or are this “well known” bugs that never get fixed as other things?
