Apple TV UI has been very slow, and lagging

For the last while the Apple TV UI has been very slow, and lagging. It is annoyingly lagging, when you move through the ATV PLEX UI menu there is a long delay, when the application catches up to the movement of the ATV track pad the UI scrolls fast through the various menus and most often past the intended selection.

It seems to be getting worse with every update, back in ’21 the issue was addressed, and it seems with all the new features and updates something has caused the ATV app to break again.

The web UI is working well from any browser (I use Firefox) and do not experience the same issues, it seems to be only on the ATV app. I would like to hear from folks with other tv applications like Roku, etc. is this delay noticeable on those devices as well or is it only affecting the Apple TV?

Any assistance or fixes would be appreciated.

No response, I have to reboot my ATV box as it gets stuck at login and when changing profiles, is anyone going to respond?

I am still waiting for someone to respond, with the latest PLEX update the issue still remains. Is anyone going to reach out?

I got the same Issue and it really drives me mad. Still no solution ?
Is it possible that my slow Network cause this, i just have 100mbit/s between NAS and AppleTV ?

no, seems like Plex is too busy working on new features and not focused on the current issues.
I have no idea when someone will pay attention to this issue.

And I am glad to see other folks are having the same issue.

Just for comparison, my Roku and iOS apps seem about the same as they’ve always been.

On my RokuTV the interface has always been a bit sluggish but the RokuTV CPUs are kinda weak - the dedicated Roku box tends to be snappier.

Guys, have you tried Restore Defaults on Plex Home, left to the Vertical Ellipsis ⋮

I’m not seeing any slowest, so I might be lucky.

yip, I have done that and at times it seems okay and then sometimes, when you navigate the menus or content there is a delay or lag as it moves through the options and suddenly it’s moves fast past the selection you have chose.

I find the only way to get out of that when it gets really bad is to reboot the apple TV, then everything is fine and working for a bit. I don’t know what is causing this issue but I am really frustrated with this issue.

I was doing that everyday prior to using. Then I found I believe HDHome Run was not compatible with Jumbo Packets, may well have been Apple TV. Changed MTU back to 1500 and all is well. It’s a mind field all these possible issues.
