The public release Plex app works fine on my AppleTV HD.
However, v2025.16.0 is very slow to load and, when I scroll down to “Recently Added TV”, the title (“Recently added TV”) disappears and the app locks up. I have to kill the app to get out of the locked state.

You may not have noticed, in Settingsfor Plex ATV there is a Reset Cache which could assist in your slowness.
Let me know…
or change DNS in the ATV Settings to 1.1.1.1. By using a manual Network configuration. Then Power cycle your ATV and router.
