I’m a little new to all this and mostly not a technical person, so please if you can keep it simple that would be very much appreciated.
I’m having a real issue with buffering when watching using a Apple TV 4, with my media stored on my QNAP TS 453-A, I’ll be honest I don’t really get this whole transcoding thing and am not sure if its best to play back in original quality or change the settings.
I have downloaded some verbose logs (please see attached) but they are meaningless to me and hope someone out there can point me in the right direction.
Sorry for being the blonde damsel in distress type, I got talked into Plex by my brother, who it seems is not able to provide much support or advice (he isn’t as technical as he led me to believe). The idea of Plex and a NAS are great, saves me loads of shelf space and makes life so much easier, its just this buffering is really getting on my nerves. I checked that this NAS was recommended by PLEX before I invested the money in it, and am going to be really upset if it turns out the CPU/memory is insufficient for smooth playback.
Please, please can someone help
