Definiltey also interested just for music and podcasts or even looking at photos. Better to use your own server than have to pay Apple or Spotify for music.

Is it possible to control from the apple watch any Plex player as it’s possible from an iPhone or an iPad or any other player…
Is it possible to sync or for now since the cellular model to stream on the watch…

What about now? watchOS now supports music streaming. Spotify has an app out. Do you still evaluate this?

I sincerely hope the Plex lab can look into developing app for apple watch, even if it’s just for music. The watch comes with 8GB of memory which is good enough to synch enough music for a 2 hrs of workout, and series 3 onward come with LTE which means i should be able to connect to my plex server.
For now, while I don’t use iTune, I have no choice but to go jogging with my iphone due to all my fav music have been syn to Plex on it.
I look forward to the days that I can go for my workout/golfing with just my apple watch and earbuds; leaving the iphone at home.
Battery life can be an issue but I am ready for the trade off.

I have both Plex Pass and a lifetime Roon subscription. Both services currently support Tidal, neither offers Apple Watch control. For me, this would be a big distinguishing feature…
I just went through the hell of trying to get parts of my personal library to my wife’s apple watch. I basically had to point itunes to my network drive even though I have plex and a daapd server running. It would be great to have an offline mode(sync) on the apple watch, make a playlist in plex, pull it to the watch done and done. Remove iTunes forever.

Another vote for at least a remote app on the watch.
Maybe in the future use it as a base for streaming music.

Certainly it would be nice to sync audio over on to the watch like the audible app does.
Necessary Apple watch app when you are driving.
