It’s been 5 years and we are still waiting for the apple watch client app.
Can we have someone looking into this.
This is the only reason why I pay Apple Music. I wish I could use Plex in all my devices.

I would love a plexamp app for watch os. The only app i use for music is plexamp/plex. Would love the ability to download my playlist to my watch and listen while i go on walks. Without my phone.

Definitely need an Apple Watch app. Had to pay for Apple Music so I can listen to my music on the go (and I have to copy my music to Apple Music too), which is super inconvenient for me.

Just voted here. Any other app that can stream from my plex server to the watch (or, even better, pre-download)?
I know this has come up before, but I wanted to get some fresh life into this. Streaming services are becoming far too expensive, and don’t provide their value any longer.
A Plexamp app for Apple Watch would allow users to stream their personal music without needing to download music directly onto the watch and then use Apple Music. A very simple music player is all that is needed, and would be incredible for people who like to listen to music without their phone present.

+1 for downloading songs to Apple Watch for offline listening. Being able to ditch my phone occasionally to have digital minimalism is awesome. Currently I listen to audible books on my watch because Plexamp isn’t supported. Would love to be able to also listen to music.

Plexamp for Apple Watch please! I like to run without my phone, and being able to stream my Plex music library without paying a subscription for Apple Music would be awesome. I’ve looked into alternatives, and an app called Prologue can already do this (however it’s not ideal as it’s made for audiobooks), so I know it’s possible. Please consider this!

Signed in just to ‘+1’ this thread. When Prologue (audiobook interface for Plex) has such a slick Apple Watch App, for $5 or something, I know it can be done. Totally understand the desire to keep a homogenous code base for your 7 platforms, but the difference as a customer, being able to leave my phone at home and take my music with me is huge.

Yep, signed in just to +1 this. In 2025 PlexAmp can’t really compete with Apple or Google’s native music services if they don’t have Apple and Google watch apps. I love having my own server hosting my music to cut the cable on subscription services, but we need support on all our devices.

I’m deciding between a GPS and a GPS+Cellular Watch and since my only use case for cellular is Plexamp I guess I’ll get the GPS only model. Take that Apple!
I’d love to have plexamp on Apple Watch. I only carry my Apple Watch and AirPods when I’m on a run. Currently with cellular and an Apple Music subscription. Doesn’t have to download for offline use just have a basic app that can play our playlists from the Plex server. Please
