im not sure if this is the right place to post/ask something like this, so be nice to me! :P
Last month i made my apple tv 3 working with plex - its really a nice thing BUT i was asking myself
if it is possible to run the PlexMedia Server from a WD MyCloud system or from the WD Wifi Edition ?
If you ask yourself "why i'm asking this" is because im a bit annoyed to let always my macbook on for watching something via Plex

Even if it was possible I doubt very much either of those WD devices have the performance needed to run PMS and do any transcoding. Because the AppleTV has very little native codec support outside of H264 (MP4 M4V) unless that’s what you’re collection consists of mostly PMS will be most often transcoding everything you watch. A Mac or PC of some type with decent performance running PMS is always going to be your best bet regardless.
Sounds like someone didn't get a server for Xmas :)
