AppleTV: Connection Seems to go Stale, Must quit/relaunch app

After the app has been idle or backgrounded and I have been using another app like Netflix, Sling or Amazon, I often have to quit and re-launch the Plex app on my Apple TV’s to get the app to play content again. If I just go back to the app without quitting and try to play music content from my local library for instance, it will say the media couldn’t be loaded for playback.

This happens with both ATV 4th Gen and ATV 4k (not brand new 4k that was just released, but the previous version that’s been out a while now).

Everything is as up to date as can be and this issue has persisted when trying Plex Server on multiple host machines to rule out the host machine as the issue.

I also have this issue, but only on my Apple TV 4. The 4K one seems to be ok? It’s really weird. Sometimes it will recover, but when it happened minutes ago, it never came back. Had to relaunch the app.
