Hello last few days I tried to update my Plex Media Server to latest versions (1.15.x.x.x), but I got into troubles. After long fight I understood that the new versions of Plex Media Server(after 1.14.xxx) for FreeBSD are coming with a lot of precompiled libraries which is really great, but the problem is that all of them are compiled in a way that both the libraries and the Plex Media Server itself have dependencies to libraries not supported on FreeBSD 9.x (libcxxrt.so.1). I found that if I compile the libraries with gcc(which is really a nightmare with FreeBSD 9.x) I was able to remove most of the dependencies, but the one from Plex Media Server I will not be able to remove at all, because the code of it is not there and I cannot recompile it.
So, my question at the end is: Are you planning to support FreeBSD version with all libraries precompiled with GCC? (such version I will be able to start even on my pretty old system)
In case you will not support such versions, please update your site in places where it says that FreeBSD 9.x is supported, because it is not true.
But I actually noticed no long ago that it not on the downloads site and that should be fixed so.
Still even if that was true the file on downloads is a tarball with the binaries and libs, its not to be used for direct install but to be used by FreeBSD’s port, which is no longer updated on FreeBSD 9 anyway.

I know that the server is old, but I have some hardware limitations and I cannot go to newer version of FreeBSD(FreeNAS in my case). At the end it is serving its purposes very well even with the outdated software that I’m using, that is why I’ll keep using version 1.14.x until the end of life of this server.
Yes I was referring the download page when I was saying that the supported version of FreeBSD mentioned is 9.x (exact wording 9.1 or newer) (https://www.plex.tv/media-server-downloads/#plex-media-server)
