The artist Name “Lori” is tagged properly on the file itself. However plex keeps overwriting it to “Lorie”. I tried editing manually in plex however the app thinks it knows better than me and keeps putting “Lorie”. Can someone help? Thanks
Do you have Local Media Assets (Albums) enabled in your artist settings?
Keep in mind… enabling this will not automatically apply to already scanned/matched media.

Is there anyway to remove the artist scraping from plex or disable it. For my library it picks the wrong artist about 80% of the time and has incorrect artist artwork and biography etc. Thanks for the help
I figured it out: not only does it have to be checked but you also need to drag the preference above the LastFm agent.
However would it be possible to disable the LastFm agent in gereral?
You should be able do to that in the Advanced settings of a library (... > Manage Library > Edit..., Advanced tab). Keep in mind, changing those parameters will only apply to newly added / matched content… so it might be best to apply this in a new library.

Also… double check if you want to include Local Media Assets with this agent (in Settings > Server > Agents for Artists > Personal Media Artists and Albums > Personal Media Albums)
