On two phones, both running Android 8.1.0, every time that I drag the scrollbar down to any arbitrary letter it immediately starts (slowly) scrolling back up to the top (#) of the alphabet, on its own accord. Both Plex apps are up-to-date. Is this an issue that has been seen before? I really don’t think it’s anything on my end except perhaps that particular version of Android.
I’ve moved the apps from SD to internal storage but the results are still the same on both phones.
This issue is still unresolved. I’ve reinstalled the apps but no help. The scrollbar is nearly impossible to even grab onto before the right side panel slides out and stops my attempt to scroll. Doesn’t matter which hand I use to grab onto it. When I do get control of it then release it, it always starts scrolling back up by itself until it reaches the top. Very annoying. I have no other Android versions that I can test with to find out if it’s just that particular 8.1.0 version. My phones are different brands, Hot Pepper and Samsung. Very cheap phones but I don’t know why that would matter. The only way I can get down in the artists list is to keep swiping the screen many, many times until I reach the letter I want as I have over 1000 artists. Well, that works but is a pain. When I had an iOS phone the scrolling worked perfectly. I never had issues on that phone and it was an old 5S.
Update: I purchased an iPad and Plex works flawlessly on that. A Nord 5g Android phone will be here soon and I’ll discover how it handles Plex, or doesn’t.
The issue also appears on my new Nord N10 phone, Android 11, so it must be a bug in Plex/Android code. Apparently, the bug that only affects my phones…
