I have about 1300 movies and the artwork loading is very slow. I can’t use nothing to browse as I want since everything gets loaded that time. I tried Kodi and Jriver and they don’t have the same issues. When I scroll everything is there with the artwork cached.
I use web based, PMP and OpenPHT and all suffer from the same. My installation and files are in separate mechanical discs.
use a SSD for your Plex data folder
At this moment a SSD is a no go for me for various reasons. But in the future I will add one as my system drive.
For the second part I moved the files and unchecked the buttons as you suggested. I’ll see the next days. But I insist that it’s weird for the artwork to reload every time.
You have by far the best software and I don’t use it for my HT exactly for that. Caching. I do every thing with you except browsing - viewing. Imagine a night with friends and I’ll have to browse. The laugh I get about my slow PC. But with the ugly jriver everything is fine.
