Can we get some updates on when the ass sub delay will be fixed?

Server Version#: 1.32.2.7100 Player Version#: 9.23.0.1746 (80d0211) I’ve noticed a 1 frame delay of subtitles on the Shield. The subtitle appears one frame later, which for more intense .ass typesetting for anime is an issue as replacement edits such as clip/iclip or position based edits will not match the video. The same file had no issue on my AppleTV, so I think it is an Exoplayer issue as mpv on tvOS plays it perfectly fine.

Nvidia SHIELD/Android app SSA/ASS format anime subtitles + transcoding problems

It’s something I definitely want to do, but it’s tricky to implement as we rely on the devices decoder to render frames in newer Android versions. I also need to move the blending of the ASS images into the GPU which is time consuming. I’m hoping to improve thing’s in the new year and get ASS rendering as close to the video rendering as possible.
