I have a ASUSTOR 6404T (four drive) NAS running Plex Server. This NAS has TOSLINK, HDMI, USB, and USB-C connections. I have the TOSLINK connection connected directly to a Chord Qutest DAC. I want my NAS to output music from Plex Server through the TOSLINK connection to my DAC. In other words, I don’t need/want to use a steamer. However, Plex/Plexamp will not see my NAS or any of this digitial output as available options. This is functionality possible with Plex? Otherwise, Plex/Plexamp works fine on my phone outside of my network. Roon Server/Roon endpoints does this with no problems.
