I’m not sure why the Atmos track in Blade Runner is being transcoded but the Atmos track in Dune is not.
Both files came from a UHD disk via MakeMKV and then went through Handbrake. From what I can tell they are set up exactly the same.
The stats for nerds showed a protocol of “http” for Dune and “dash” for Blade Runner. I’m assuming that has something to do with it being transcoded.
On a side note I noticed that the second audio track in Blade Runner would play sound and the second track for Dune would not. So that issue is still around.
Thoughts on why it’s transcoding?
