ATV 3 and Wifi

Ok, I recently bought my new shiny ATV3, because for several reasons I had to give up my old one. Easy peasy I thought, I knew how to set it all up with seasonpass as usual. Well, then of course it seems the fruit company made it all more complicated for you guys. And for that I am very sorry.

 

So back to square one, trying to set up plexconnect on a ATV3 using only wifi.

I live in the US now and am using comcast so I get 2 DNS-servers. I picked one of them for connecting, and then made a manual connection to the same static IP-address I have given my laptop. Still nothing happens. If I pick trailers it wont load, and if I just let all on auto except for DNS, it wont find it.

What am I missing?

Seems I requested wrong DNS first.

Now I also get this.

Have you done the required certificate steps due to apples change from http to https?

Yeah, did that too.

Are you running plexconnect on mac or winodws, if windows, your pathway is incorrect, you must use \, not forward /

A lot of people have reported issues if they dont have the absolute path in the config file
