atv settings go back to default

hi,

when i change the settings on my atv3 (force transcode, subtitle size etc) the settings only remains as long as i don’t restart my computer. when i turn my computer on again i have to redo my settings on my atv.

i have tried both the xml_templates and the master release.

anyone know how to keep the settings?

You have to do a "nice" shutdown of PlexConnect - ie. press CTRL-C. With this it has a chance to store the settings in the ATVSettings.cfg file.

thanks! if i do this once, are the settings saved so i can go back and do my not so nice shutdowns?

yes... unless you want to change your settings again. :-)

Might be a good idea to save the settings every time a "SettingsToggle" command is processed by XMLConverter.py

Yes, I think we had a discussion about that in the "daemon" section... We might want to go that route.

hmm… i did a nice shutdown but now it’s back to default. i still use xml_templates because it has been working fine. is it a bug in that version?
