ATV settings reset to default after plexconnect script restarts

Hi everyone… I am hoping someone here can solve a small issue I have.


I am running plexconnect on ios 7 on my atv…hijacking the imovie app…it works very smooth. However, when my pc reboots (where my server resides) and therefore the plexconnect python sçript is restarted, all my settings on my atv (like movie and tv shows display settings) are back to the default ones. It’s like the changes I made befor are not saved anywhere…


Is that a known bug ?


Please let me know…

You didn’t start and then stop PlexConnect initially to save the two setting files.

Also some info on setup and how you are using the daemon would help if it still will not update settings after you create the 2 settings files.

The aTVSettings are stored whenever PlexConnect does a nice shutdown - if you "kill" it before reboot, those settings will be lost.

As f00b4r said... you need to look into HOW you startup/shutdown PlexConnect.

Thanks!! And what would be considered a nice shutdown!! I'm new to plexconnect... not sure I'm doing this properly. How should I shut it down cleanly so it saves my settings ??
