ATV2 IOS 7.1 No Pre-play screens?

I thought once you updated to iOS 6.x+ you get pre-play screens is there something I'm missing here? I don't see any full screen posters when I select any new movies at all in movies starting at year 2013+ or any year whatsoever. Is this just a atv3 feature or is it broken at the moment? I running the very latest ios 7.1 on my Apple TV 2 installed today. Fresh install of plexconnect using iBaa's github cloned today. Hijacking iMovie theater. I thought it was supposed to look like this:

Everything works perfect besides the pre-play screens.

That Fanart didn't yet make it to the "official" branch. It needs some weird workaround like postprocessing the images to fade to black, which - from my point of view - shouldn't live in PlexConnect. I started some discussion with Elan on increasing the Image Transcoder's capabilities...
