Hello all, I searched the forums and internet for an answer but no luck so I thought I would post.
I got plex back up and running on my ATV3 but have a question.
When I use my IPAD plex app it displays background art and TV theme songs when I go into a TV folder like Babylon 5. When I go into the same TV folder in the Plex app, formerly the trailers app, on my ATV 3 I do not see any background art or hear any theme music. The cover art works though.
I have put Art.jpg and Banner.jpg in both the Babylon 5 root folder and the Season 1 folder just to see what would happen but it doesnt seem to do anything.
Am I correct in assuming that the ATV exploint just won't allow for background theme music or background art work/nbanners?
Just thinking outside the box as usual. Since there is no way to get theme music using plexconnect due to limitations with the Apple TV I thought of a way to get them music using airplay. You would need to initiate the stream when you enter a tv show, kill the stream when starting to play the show or when exiting the selected tv show xml to go back to the tv show list. There is a number of apps maybe could be utilized to get the desired effect. Now all are listed for OSX and some may only do a video/audio combination. Maybe a new app would need to be designed but just maybe this could be implemented to work? It would be really cool to get a fade in or out if desired as well
