Audio Book Library Type is a TV Series without video, isn't it?

OK, there are already many requests for this, I know. I’ve read many but I’ve not seen these words before:

An audio book is almost exactly the same as a TV series, except without any video component. Additional books in a series could even be considered as “seasons” while chapters of the book (individual audio files) are “episodes.”

I have not yet tried converting an audio book to MP4 and registering it as a TV Series… maybe that already works? If not, is it such a big difference that the gods of Plex are incapable of making it work? I think this could be a VERY popular improvement.

An aside: I wish I could vote for all of the similar requests, but I’ve already used all four (or is it 5 or 6?) votes that I get in life.

creating a new request for the same thing “audio book support” not useful. What you wrote here should be posted in one of the other request. all your doing is wasting your votes

if you want audiobooks vote for and comment in this one.

Support for audiobooks

I find in plexamp the track location feature is annoying, I end up playing the track near the end (where it’s still quiet) over and over for some reason. It’d be great to be able to add that at the library level, just for audiobooks.

But… I don’t think just posting “wastes” a vote that I cannot cast. All my votes are used up, so I cannot even vote for my own suggestion.

If you simply wanted to discuss, why not move it into a regular category instead of making it a feature suggestion?
Right now it’s „competing“ for votes with other threads, potentially syphoning votes off the existing suggestion / cannibalizing votes (even if it’s not your own vote).

Hence the effort of cleaning up duplicate suggestions.
