Audio cuts if windows default device changes?

Server Version#: 4.87.2
Player Version#: 1.45.0.3013-1676042f

I have my Plex running on a cheap computer, and am running the Plex for Windows app locally on the same computer. I have the computer plugged in to my TV and it’s acting as my “cable box” so to speak. I leave it running on shuffle all day, unless I leave to go somewhere (such as work).

At that point, I pause the player and turn my TV off. However, when I turn the TV back on and press play. There’s no sound for whatever show was just playing. When the episode ends (either naturally, or by pressing the button to jump to the next one), the audio restores.

I can provide whatever logs or etc. Not too sure if this is a server specific issue or an app issue, as it seems app related (given the fact that’s what I’m watching on).

Don’t pause. Use Stop. The playback progress is saved on the server, so you can resume – even on a different device.

The fastest “repair” is to close the player app and restart it. It is not expecting to suddenly lose its audio device during a session.

I’m not too worried about the progress on the specific episode, since I just have it running all the time (esp. as background noise). The reason I pause is because I have it playing a playlist of most of my media (but not all, some stuff isn’t included as I want to watch it in order) on shuffle. So hitting stop would make me have to restart the playlist vs just skipping over a small portion of an episode.
