Hi guys… not sure if anyone else have the problem but i ve changed the cable to a new ultra high speed (to eliminate the possible problem) and still have huge audio delay in Plex when using True HD. Shield is connected to Denon x1700h via game port (enhanced), and Denon is connected to eARC Sony x90j with certified ultra high speed 48 cable. Audio sync and earc both enabled and at auto on tv. Everything is updated to latest fw.
Now, i have seen the reports from other users for that audio delay, which is mostly only when using true hd, the rest is in sync. I prefer using only Plex for both client and server with 2 of my big hdds attached to it. Not sure if the problem is related with Plex on shield or Denon as well?!
I am also using the Plex own auto refresh rate switching and the movies are playing in 24fps (23.9 by info). I believe not using it and leave it to 60 get it in sync but its not natural for video then - introducing stutter and frame interpolation. ![]()
Can someone confirm the same?
The only way to get it right is this… but the constant toggle is a pain.
*mkv files with True HD atmos are 295ms (audio delay set at Denon with lip sync on auto) audio out of sync late. (0 for the ball on shield)
*mkv files with dd+ 0 audio delay on Denon, but 50 on the ball.
*mkv files with dts/dts hdma/dtsx - everything in sync with 0 on both Denon and shield.
Impossible to set universal setting to fit all audio encodings.
Plex UI is the best and the only player i want to use and only one I have problems with, hope someone adress this.
