Plex already recognizes the visually impaired flag on the audio track. I would be nice if you could have it set as a preferred audio so visually impaired does not have to keep changing audio settings for each movie or tv episodes
Just to verify/confirm I understand your suggestion…
You’re asking for an option to automatically select SDH subtitles in your account audio & subtitle preferences (Auto-select Subtitle Mode) — in addition to the existing option to select the regular or foreign-audio subtitle track?
It would not be for subtitles. It would be for the descriptive audio tracks. Adding a option to prefer audio description.
Understood.
So it’s not just about the capability to auto-select but also to properly tag those audio streams as being the audio-description for this language.
This can already be done (at least in mkv files) by flagging the audio track as “visual impaired”.
So this is mainly about the automatic track selection, just for the right audio track.
