Audio for videos not working unless I convert to 720p or lower

Server Version#: 1.41.3.9314-a0bfb8370
Player Version#: 1.106.0.276-fe8d1d20

Hi,

I have a weird problem. When playing videos in Plex for Windows, I don’t have any audio. I think I’ve tried all possible settings in
Settings - Plex for Windows - Player - Advanced
But nothing seems to help. (and yes, I’ve tried all possible audio devices instead of auto)

The weird thing is that I do have working audio when playing music. Also when I lower the quality of the video to 720p High (or lower) the audio works! But the original quality (no convert) or all 1080p converts do not have audio.

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this?

Thanks!

Are you on Windows 11 build 24H2?

Try setting the audio output type to “Basic” in the settings of the player.
What happens?

Yes, I am on Win11 24H2.

Where can I set this?

It appears only if a HDMI-type of audio interface has been selected. So that is not your issue.
