I'm a recent Plexpass member mainly for the Chromecast functionality. While starting a stream from my Moto X, the sound coming from the Chromecast is very low, I have to turn the volume on the TV up to almost max volume. While streaming Plex from my Roku 3 and other clients the audio is just fine. Not sure if others are having this issue or if it's a Chromecast issue.
there is a volume of chromecast it self also. you should be able to change it with the volume button on your Moto X or with the volume control in the app.
