Audio out if sync...but only sometimes

Scratching my head on this so I just hope someone can help.

The signal from the aerial in my flat isn’t strong enough so have a standalone one. I have an Nvidia Shield and the WinTV-dualHD tuner.

Whilst streaming any non HD channel, like BBC1 or ITV1 the audio and picture start in sync. However, after a while the signal breaks, very briefly and the audio will be out of sync. Rewinding and resuming live TV brings it back in sync until it happens again. The signal strength is at 50% and is watchable visually.

Now, on HD channels the signal strength is 60%, never breaks up and the audio is in sync the whole time.

I can’t for the life of me get this to work on non HD channels. If anything I would have thought that the HD channels would have caused the issue over the HD channels.

Please help!

This is a Plex bug that has been present for as long as I’ve had my setup (over two years)…specific to the nVidia Shield. Its one of the several nVidia Shield Plex bugs that’s kept me using other clients.

It’s just a bit odd that it doesn’t do it on the HD channels and if I pause the Live TV and then play straight again the audio stays in sync. Why can’t Plex create a 1 second buffer for live TV so it doesn’t happen?
